Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
Trad Wife is an invite-only community for women practicing the traditional-wife life. This page plainly explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to remove it — no dense legal maze, no surprises.
Information we collect
Account & contact information
- Email address — used to create and sign in to your account.
- Phone number — verified by one-time SMS code and required for every account. It is never shown to other members and never used for marketing.
Content you create
- Pulse videos — the raw, unedited proof-of-practice videos you record and attach to your tasks.
- Comments — anything you write on your own or another member's pulse.
Your practice & onboarding answers
- Your responses to the onboarding questionnaire (used to set your starting Wifey Score and personalize your daily task list), plus your ongoing task completions, score, and streak history.
Community choice (optional)
- You may choose a faith community — Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, LDS, Jewish, Muslim, or Secular/General — or skip this entirely and change it anytime. Because this choice, and one onboarding question about your faith practice, describe your religious affiliation, we treat and protect both as sensitive religious-affiliation data — whether or not you choose to answer them. Skipping is always available and never held against you.
Why we collect it
Every piece of information above exists to run the product you signed up for, not to build a profile for advertisers:
- Your phone number verifies you're a real, unique person — the anti-abuse anchor that keeps this an invite-only, vetted community rather than an open, bot-filled feed.
- Your onboarding answers, tasks, videos, and community choice run the core practice-and-proof product: setting your baseline, personalizing your daily list, calculating your Wifey Score, and showing your proof to the community that earns the right to see it.
- Reports, blocks, and moderation records exist solely to keep the community safe (see "Moderation & safety" below).
How long we keep it
- Pulse videos are purged 90 days after posting. The post itself stays as a record (task stamp, date, engagement) marked "archived," but the video file is deleted from storage.
- Account data — profile, score history, comments, onboarding answers — is kept for as long as your account exists, so your practice history and standing remain intact. It is deleted when you delete your account (see below).
Deleting your account
You can delete your account entirely from inside the app — Profile → Delete Account — no email, no support ticket, no waiting on us. Deletion removes your profile, your videos and other storage files, and your account with our authentication provider. It cannot be undone, which is why the app asks you to confirm before it happens.
Advertising, tracking & selling data
We don't run ads. We don't track you. We don't sell your data. Ever.
- No advertising or analytics identifiers are collected — nothing is combined with data from other companies' apps or websites, and nothing is shared with data brokers.
- Because we don't track you, the app never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt — there's nothing to ask permission for.
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
Moderation & safety
Every pulse, comment, and profile can be reported. Blocking is two-way — if you block someone, neither of you sees the other's content anywhere in the app. Any post or comment that collects three reports is automatically hidden pending review, and our team works the open report queue against a 24-hour service commitment. We keep a record of reports and moderation actions to enforce these guidelines consistently and to protect members from repeat abuse.
Children's privacy
Trad Wife is built for adult women and is not directed at anyone 17 or younger. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us below and we'll act promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, let members know in the app.
